About Pix By Alex

Pix By Alex is a 1 woman photography business that specializes in equine photography, but I enjoy all types of photography from wildlife to matric dances and everything in between.

​Pix By Alex started out at the beginning of 2020 as my ‘little hobby’, and it has since grown into something much more. I started photographing in about 2015 and worked for Tamara & Blake Images for a while, and then took a break while completing my final few years of school.​

I am completely self taught and I have a passion for capturing action shots & special moments that show raw, real emotions.​ This is not my full time job. I have a full time job and I love doing photography on the side. I am a horse rider myself and that is how I got into equine photography.​ To view some of my favorite photos, select the drop down bar and choose what section you would like to view.

​Show photos: I photograph at a variety of different shows and venues around JHB. I post which shows I will be at on my social media accounts, but you can also whatsapp me to let me know if you would like me to be at a specific show. I am only 1 photographer and therefore can’t photograph everyone at the shows I am at. If you would like photos, please let me know beforehand.

How to order show photos

​When you request that I take photos of you at a show, there is absolutely no obligation for you to buy the photos. Photos will be posted on this website for you to view.

Once you have decided what photos you would like, you can WHATSAPP me on 073 334 0534.

Your photos will be sent via a google photos link so that you can download them in high quality.

Please note that I can only guarantee that this link will be available for 2 weeks after your payment. After that period, the link may be removed, so please make sure to download and back up your photos.
